"You can't get outside the box until you think outside of the box."
~CEO/FOUNDER-Cle Ross

All Baseball S.T.I.C.K.S program participants will be required to take our
"Dedicated to be Educated" free educational and administrative courses to
promote greater inclusion of minorities into the mainstream of the game of
baseball.
Kansas City Kansas Public Schools has 19,561 students. 44% of those students are African
American, 35% are Hispanic, 17% are Caucasian, and 4% are other ethnic groups.

The KC S.T.I.C.K.S coaches will work with all inner-city players seeking baseball
knowledge and guidance with plans to sponsor one all-star traveling team in each
individual age group within KCK RBI.  The S.T.I.C.K.S traveling teams will focus on
educating and highlighting the elite Wyandotte County and surrounding area players
in efforts to raise the amount of athletes attending and graduating from college.  In
efforts to help create a fair and competitive league the  S.T.I.C.K.S coaching staff
will
not
sponsor any league teams.

Introduction Level 1 - "Learning the game..."

The excitement of baseball must be the base for introduction and future development of
baseball in the urban core. As a result, there will be training and activities that promote
entertainment, fun, and learning the history of the game.

Level 1 Dedicated To Be Educated educational sessions will be geared to increase
participation and interest levels among inner-city youth while promoting self-esteem and the
value of teamwork.

Base Level 2 – “What and How…”

The Base for proper baseball and softball fundamentals must be shared at early age with
care, composure, and knowledge. As a result, the
Baseball S.T.I.C.K.S members will be required to attend
Dedicated To Be Educated Core
educational sessions that involve proper fielding, throwing, base-running and hitting
techniques.  Members of the level 5 portion of the program will assist with this part of the
developmental stage to promote giving back and community service prior to graduation from
the program.

Level 2 Dedicated To Be Educated educational sessions will include programs that
combine the fundamentals of baseball with mentorship, leadership, and academic study skills.
It also provides an environment where former, current, and future college and professional
baseball and softball players can interact and network with inner-city kids who inspire to be just
like them.

Transitional Level 3 – “Why and When…”

The Transitional Level is established according to the foundation laid in the"BASE"
Level. This level will prepare each member with the
tools and training to know “Why and When…” to apply the “What and How…”In addition, each
member will be introduced to situational drills, tutelage, and advisement. The strength and
conditioning side of S.T.I.C.K.S will be applied in practice or a simulated environment. This will
provide an opportunity for each student to learn proper stretching, lifting, running and
exercising techniques.

Elevation Level 4 – “Dedicated to be
Educated”

The level 4 portion of the Dedicated To Be Educated program will allow
youth the opportunity to gain the knowledge necessary to become coaches, umpires, ground
crew members, general managers and club owners by educating them on the fundamentals of
baseball coaching and administration including how to write the line-up,proper field
maintenance and rules of the game, just to name a few.  The Elevation Level is also based on
the “What and How…” and the “Why and When…” building blocks. This level involves
concentration to instill each principle in mental and muscle memory and a large amount of
repetition to produce productive baseball skills and habits.

Implement/Giveback -  Level 5

The Implement/Giveback level is dependent on the success achieved in the
previous levels and success achieved in future environments.  This level will not only be for the
ball players who aspire to reach the college and/or professional levels but for those who have a
desire to continue their baseball future whether it be on or off the field.  S.A.F.E created the
"Dedicated to be Educated" side of the Baseball
S.T.I.C.K.S program as a resource to educate youth on all aspects of the game because we
understand that not every child will have the talent needed to chase their dream of becoming a
major league baseball player.

Level 5 Dedicated To Be Educated educational sessions will be offered to Level 5
members that consist of but are not limited to:  How to become a umpire, sports announcer,
front office staff member, grounds crew member, baseball coach and baseball scouts.

Level 5 members will also be asked to refer family, friends, and associates to help bring
baseball back to the inner city of Wyandotte County by enrolling there kids into
KCK RBI.

Preparation for life after graduation

Baseball S.T.I.C.K.S (Support Towards Inner City Kids), was
founded in Kansas City, KS by former minor leaguer Cle Ross. Ross
understood that baseball could be a tool to help kids excel
physically, socially and academically. His goal began by creating
ways to increase the interest level of local youth by developing a
new appreciation for the game of baseball.

As a result, he created
Baseball S.T.I.C.K.S, a program that
combines the fundamentals of baseball with mentorship, leadership,
and educational skills. It also provides an environment where former,
current, and future college and professional baseball and softball
players can interact and network with inner-city kids who inspire to
be just like them.
